Few video games can claim the distinction of staying in the mainstream consciousness for decades, spanning generations. Super Mario is one, if not the only one, that has made great strides in this area.
There is almost no one on the planet who has not heard of the Italian plumber known as Mario. Those who have never played the game may not be aware of its humble beginnings but they have heard of it in some shape or form.
Mario wasn't even the main character in his first appearance in a video game. He first appeared in 1981 in the groundbreaking arcade game Donkey Kong. The character's name was Jumpman and he was a carpenter.

How to Play Super Mario Game:

While playing, the player assumes the role of Mario and has to go through the Mushroom Kingdom. The player must avoid the evil forces of the game's villain, Bowser, and rescue Princess Toadstool. To win the game Super Mario Game my Super Mario must reach the end of each level.
Scattered throughout the game are coins that need to be collected. Many special bricks with question marks that reveal more coins and other special items mario once hit. If there is enough time, it is important to hit other bricks as they may contain rare items or coins.
Eating the mushroom transforms regular Mario into Super Mario, which means he doubles in size and gains the ability to break bricks above himself. Clever though when he is killed in this mode, he reverts to his original self, but he will not die.
