Kill the Enemy Game in Android Studio

There are a few excellent tools that we have to make the development process for Android more comfortable and efficient and in this article I want to share with you my experience using one of these tools, it’s called kill the enemy Game Editor from Android Studio. Let’s get started!

Kill the enemy Game Editor is like an editor of your game. It will help you edit/improve all layers and assets in your game according to the settings you set up on the settings page of the game. You can think it as a second screen, but only for a certain level or feature. If that doesn't work let me know in the comments! :)

The first thing that makes this tool attractive for us, firstly it has the same style and feel of other tools in our studio so that we don't need to adapt it to our game. Also the most important aspect of this tool is that it supports both different mobile device platforms (we have four different versions: Samsung Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S11+ + Galaxy Note 20+). So if you're creating a new game, you can play it on your phone as well like playing a game on PC. But in case, you have already played two games on your phone then you can start editing your levels and assets there as well. That means that this tool can be used everywhere. It also offers support of multiple languages including Spanish, Italian, English etc. And that's what we really like about it.

The first and basic step here is to download this program and after downloading just download into the folder that contains all your files and folders. It is very easy to install this program. Just go to Play Store > Select apps and search "Kill the enemy Game Editor." Select it and follow the Installation steps. After installing you will see all installed files are located at a file named "killtheenemygameeditor".xml. We will create a game folder and inside of it create a subfolder for the mod Folder and put all our main files and folders under the mod subfolder. To do it click on the menu and select Add New Mod Folder. At last, run the game and open it. Once it starts you will see a lot of folders, one of them is called 'game'. Inside of the mod folder create another folder and move over those folders and there we'll add the following files and folders:

Game Folder: it’s where you can store all your assets and folders. To make the game we are going to add some layers and modifies a bit of features. This file will have all folders, mod folders and layers. The layer is where all layers are stored for us to modify anything. For example, we may want to change some pixels and maybe add text to the layers. Then create new object layer and again to add objects we can use layers. We'll keep adding new layers till we reach the maximum layer. After the desired layer can be added press on Edit Layer & add another layer.

Project Folder: it’s where all your project files are stored under. Its main purpose is to keep an organized structure to our projects and folders. When we created a module and created all files and folders it should move with all folders and files under a specific folder. Now to edit our code we are going to create a folder and call it modules.

Modules Folder: to delete everything, we'll keep adding modules to that folder and making folders for each module. As soon as we finish it we will delete all folders and files under that folder.

Level Folder: this folder will stay empty until we change the level. To create a new level you must keep deleting all folders.

The Main Folder: this folder is where we will store all our game files, mods, objects. To add or remove an item in an object, we need to delete everything in that level. Once we've deleted everything it needs to be edited again. To do so open the scope and select all items under the mod folder in the level folder and right click one by one and click on Delete Item option and it’s done. We named it level0.

Modules Folder: this folder will remain blank until we create a new mod folder for that level and place our mod files in that folder.

Layers Folder: to edit the mod folder, all layers we have to select them from the mod folder and it will create a list from which we should choose one of our layers that we want to alter. When we know the name of each layer we have to rename it and add it to the mod folder.

Models Folder: it’s where our models are stored. Lets make a model layer. When we choose to add a layer our mod folder should be renamed as mod folder then click on save and mod folder will automatically be created. Now we have successfully altered our mod folder. Click on Edit Layer and select the model layer we’re working on. As a result, our mod folder will look like our mod folder and mod folder name. That's it, now we can see how this can be used on any android device, even older devices. However, all layers and mod folders in Mod folder will not show anything. Those are hidden layers. We haven’t done anything. They just show the icon. Our goal is to hide the visible layers and show the ones we want to be modified and to have access to the necessary features.

The Bottom Line

It’s very easy to work with this tool and it supports the various types of mobile devices, both old and new ones. With its simple interface and user friendly it makes changing and modifying layers very easy and quick. And it contains many useful plugins and tools for our usage. That’s why this tool is such valuable and amazing software and you can easily find it easily in app stores. Thanks for reading! Thanks to Google for giving us this opportunity. Here’s a complete guide to get started with that editor. Until next time! :)
